Full House.

On the 27th of December, Pierre-Emmanuel, my brother and Kathia, Marc’s sister came with their last two children, Mazarine, almost 3 years old and Samuel, 9 months old. They stayed with us for 6 days.
It was great. The children got along pretty well (as children from 9 months to 3 and half year old can get along!!!), the adults spent some great evening to laugh and the house an organised chaos!!
We went to the swimming pool, to Snake and Ladder and to the pub.
They baby-sit the children to enable us to see Avatar that we loved. They taught us a great new card game which makes us have a lot of laughing moment. They brought us a great amount of food (maybe there is no shops in England) and a lot of present for the children (always the same theme as 3 days before: Arthur: Lighting MacQueen, Rémi, trains and cars).
We were sad to see them leave on the 2nd of January, but they brought us a little piece of Strasbourg for 6 days.

Malta and Gozo

So I went to Malta with JB to cycle. It was awesome !! The weather was nice, stunning scenery, welcoming local people (Maltese and not Maltesers ;) ) all speaking English. We ate very well, it was good and affordable. The island is well organised, it has an excellent network of nice buses, but some drivers had some problem with subtraction ;) maybe due to the way they handle their cash.

We spent most of our time on the small (7mi x 3mi) island of Gozo (North West of Malta). We cycled through it, and it was good fun as the island is between 0 and 150metre high.

The most impressive moment was the 150 metres drop white cliffs diving into the Royal blue sea, our stomach was definitely aware of the height we were at. We cycled on the walking path from Mgarr ix-xini to Dwejra bay, the path goes along the cliff and we were careful to not be to close of it :) We went to Dwejra bay to enjoy a nice sunset, but the sun was shy behind the clouds, at least we had beers ! We also visited the Victoria's Citadel, the Cathedral with a trompe l'oeil painting and discover at the museum a martyre woman with cut breasts *ough*

On the island of Malta, we went to Mdina, the historic fortified captial with it's bar 'La Fontanella' known for its pastries. At La Vallette, current capital, we went through the flow of tourist, visited St Augustine Church and some park.

The last day after JB left, I walked on the south of the island, saw a nice port and an other side of the island. Pretty Bay, fine sand beach with in front docks and big boats and a smell of diesel, at least they have humour. And further, outside the city, some tents which looks like refugee camp :|

The trip was really awesome, I would like to go back, visit the west of Gozo, to dive in Comino and continue to discover Malta.

Before that, here is a little movie:
