The parents.

My summer wasn't great. First of all, I had a lot of difficulties to manage two children together. Between Rémi who cried all day and Arthur who tested my limits, I didn't know where to start. Add to that some unexpected and unwanted events: two mastitis (breast ducts infection) in the space of a month with sinusitis between the two. In conclusion, each time in bed with fever for several days and because I was breastfeeding extremely tired. I have been under antibiotics for almost a month. To end it all, I have been made redundant for economic reasons.
After having seen a midwife for breastfeeding advice and a psychotherapist for my mood, I'm much better. Marc says like a new woman without the bad side effects of divorce !!!
Now I can manage Arthur, Rémi is much better, I went to see our homoeopath to bring my immune system back up and I will look for a job when my maternity leave ends, ie end February.
I can manage my life better and I feel good in my head.
I went to the dentist this morning and I am teething!! I am supporting Rémi physically. My upper left wisdom tooth is coming out even if a year ago I didn't have the roots!

As for Marc, of course, he wasn't fine either because I wasn't. He had to manage most of the time the children. He was unable to work a lot and he's late in his job. He was pretty stressed, but also very uncomfortable with the situation.
As I became a "new woman", he can work calmly and without guilt.
He has a lot of work as usual, but this time he doesn't have to deal with the house at the same time. He often works outside home to be more isolated and it is good for all of us.
Health wise, he had few cold, but managed to overcome the constant sneezing ;) He started again squash, cycling and some DIY in the house.

It is more succinct for us, but we made less progress than our children!

Back to work!

Today was my first day at work after almost 8 months of maternity leave and that wasn't as bad as I was thinking.

I spent most of my days catching up with my colleagues, read some papers to go back in the spirit and visit the labs which changed a lot when I was away. That was a day quite quiet, but that's what I needed to start with.

On Arthur side, it seemed that he had a good day with the childminder. He came back with a cold worst than yesterday and really tired. He went to bed at 6pm and woke up 3 hours later to have his bottle that he missed, but felt asleep on it. Poor little thing. Fortunately there is only tomorrow left and Friday I am in week end, so we can have a quiet day at home (except that he is having an injection, but don't say anything to him!!!!)

On Marc's side, I think he was happy to have his office back in a quiet atmosphere to work, and that's why he bought himself a new computer!!

In summary, a day not too stressfull, but we'll see how it will go from now.

Last little note: today Arthur is 7 months old!!!
