Nous essayons d’aller voir le peu d’amis qui nous reste à Bristol (parce que le reste est parti vivre ailleurs) assez régulièrement et souvent juste avant Noël. Cette année, j’ai voulu être très organisée et j’ai prévenu tout le monde à l’avance. Malheureusement après avoir tous décidé d’une date, nous avons manqué de communication Marc et moi et le jour même, personne de savait si nous venions ou pas.
Malgré tout nous y sommes allés, en appelant tout le monde dans la voiture (l’avantage de 2h de voyage).
Ça a été une superbe journée, nous avons réussi à voir tout le monde sauf un couple d’amis malades et presque individuellement, ce qui est super pour profiter de tout le monde correctement.
Les enfants ont été super, comme d’hab quand on voyage et nous sommes rentrés ravis et nostalgique de nos années passées dans cette ville fantastique.

Le weekend avant Noël., nous sommes allés dans le train à vapeur de Cholsey avec Nic, Lisa, Elliot et Jorja pour rencontrer le Père-Noël.
A l’allée, nous avons essayé de repérer les bonshommes de neige sur la voie ferrée, puis arrivés à Cholsey nous sommes allés au parc. Le temps était avec nous: le sol était plein de neige et de verglas, mais il faisait beau.





De retour dans le train, nous sommes allés voir le Père-Noël. Rémi a encore été effrayé, mais Arthur a bien voulu prendre une photo avec lui. Rémi a reçu un livre et un canard mécanique pour le bain. Arthur a reçu un jeu de domino, deux jeux de cartes et un stylo.



Après notre voyage, nous sommes tous rentrés à la maison pour boire une boisson chaude pour nous réchauffer de ce long et aventureux périple.

Le 19 décembre, Rémi a eu sa première coupe de cheveux:

Noël a commencé très tôt pour nous. Début Décembre, la crèche des enfants organisait une kermess pour fabriquer des décorations de Noël. Rémi s’est prêté au jeu avec beaucoup de plaisir, mais Arthur était plus intéressé à jouer à cache-cache avec ses copines dehors.
Nous sommes revenus avec de la nourriture pour les Rennes du Père Noël à mettre dans le jardin la veille de Noël pour qu’ils trouvent leur chemin, une pomme de pin décorée, un CD décoré et une étoile pour le sapin de Noël.
Rémi est même revenu avec son premier maquillage.


Puis il y a eu la fête de Noël des enfants individuellement. J’ai réussi à aller aux deux.
Celle de Rémi était un peu décevante. Cela consistait aux parents de se regarder dans le blanc des yeux pendant que les enfants jouaient, puis un petit gouter et enfin l’arrivée du Père-Noël. Rémi a été terrifié par ce dernier et n’a même pas voulu aller prendre son cadeau. Il a reçu un joli livre avec des animaux qui font du bruit.


Celle d’Arthur a été plus intéressante puisque les enfants ont fait un petit spectacle de chants. Malheureusement Arthur, m’ayant repéré tout de suite dans la salle, a préféré sucer son pouce tout le long. Sa maitresse était déçue puisque le matin même à la répétition il avait très bien chanté, mais je savais qu’il allait réagir comme ça. De toute façon, ça faisait plusieurs semaines qu’il chantait toutes les chansons à la maison.
Puis il y a eu le gouter et l’arrivée du Père-Noël. Il a reçu deux sous-marins pour le bain qui font encore fureur maintenant.

Nous ne sommes pas encore fin janvier, donc il n’est pas trop tard pour vous souhaiter une Bonne Année à vous tous en esperant que 2010 vous apporte toute la joie, la santé et l’amour dont vous avez besoin.

Everything started on the evening of Halloween where Rémi got diarrhoea. We thought it was due to a bad diet as he didn't eat well all that day, but it took us 3 weeks to found out it was due to a parasite called Cryptosporidium.
After 3 weeks and 4 days of diarrhoea, our little one is cured. There was nothing to do except waiting. We can't say that he seemed bothered:




I caught it too (a least I think) as I was sick for 5 days over a weekend. Marc looked after the children as well as he could and by the end of the weekend he caught a big cold with sore through...
Feeling better after my "parasite", I caught Marc's cold and guess when, during a weekend. I start thinking that I might be allergic to weekend.
Arthur with all these, he doesn't eat a lot for 2 weeks and sleeps a lor, but he had some booster, so I blame them.
Here we go, a month of bugs that we would have preferred to avoid, but maybe we will be in good shape for Christmas and New Year.

This year, we celebrated Guy Fawkes night with Nic, Lisa, Elliot and Jorja having a little firework in their garden.
Th weekend before, we went to see a firework in Wallingford for Halloween and everything went fine, but there, Rémi got scared of the rocket, so Arthur as well.
I had to stay in the house because they were crying a lot.
Later, Nic tried a Do-nuts game with the children, but I was the only one to play. They were too busy playing with Elliot and one of his friens and his cars.

When Rémi is sick, except is nappy which shows some weakness nothing prove he is really sick.
This week Marc and I alternated the days of work to look after our little pumpkin.
I took the opportunity to make some videos while he is playing. When he plays, he know what he wants to do and I just have to follow him. Look at it:

This weekend, we celebrated Halloween by going to see a Firework in Wallingford. It was the first time for the children to see one and we were really happily surprised by their reaction.
Arthur was surprised at first, and then after few fireworks got bored but it was mainly due to the fact he wanted to have a go on some ride which he did afterwards.
Rémi was impressed. He was like hypnotised.
Experiment to repeat next week at Elliot's house.

The next day, we went on the steam train for Cholsey because there was a witch who was giving present.
We managed to dress up Rémi, obviously he doesn't have a choice, but Arthur didn't want to. He took him three and half years to accept to be face painted so I think it will take him a little bit more to get dressed up.

Arthur was a little bit afraid of the atmosphere, I think he is not a fan of Halloween. Growing up I hope he will like to go from door to door all dressed up.
